Burmilla

The Burmilla is also a very loving and friendly cat. They love to be around you and join in with the family. They love to be cuddled and to sit on your lap as much as they can.

The Burmilla is a cat that makes an ideal pet for all age groups. The get on well with other pets and are quite happy to live indoors. They are the perfect cat for units and apartment living.

The Burmilla occurred from an accidental mating which took place in the United Kingdom in 1981 between a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian. They were such lovely kittens that it was decided to establish a breeding program.

In 1994 a breeding program was started in Australia using the same guidelines as the English program. The Burmilla comes in 5 exceptional colours - black, brown, blue, chocolate and lilac with 2 types of coat patterns - shaded and tipped.
